YSL Pure Chromatics Eyeshadow Palette in 20 Review + Swatches

Another post, another palette! I love YSL, as I never seem to be disappointed with anything that I try from the high-end brand. After adoring some of their foundations and lipsticks for years, I thought it was about time to road test their eyeshadows and settled for the YSL Pure Chromatics Eyeshadow Palette in 20, on a recent shopping splurge.
When I was much younger (I'm talking early-ish teens, here), the thought of using anything but my fingers or, in hindsight, the horrendous quality 'brushes' that come with makeup sets, to apply cosmetics would never have crossed my mind. Now, however, I very rarely use my fingers at all, except for concealer and cream eyeshadows, and the Real Techniques Makeup Brushes have taken over my collection. Samantha Chapman, of Pixiwoo fame, brought out a line of various brushes around two years ago now and, like most people, I love them. I was easily swayed into buying a few, when I saw how flawless the Pixiwoo sisters looked after using them in their Youtube videos and my collection grew. There are only a select few that I haven't got my hands on, but I have bought duplicates of a couple and they are pretty much the only brushes I use for my face. Whilst the eye brushes are also nice, I do prefer my Mac and Sigma beauties.
So, I'm finally started to see a difference in the types of products that I'm reaching for most, at the moment. No longer am I picking up darker hues, but I'm switching them for brighter shades of makeup. In preparation for the coming Summer months, I'm on a quest to really get my skin looking as good as it can, slathering on as many moisturising products as possible and buffing away the effects of Winter.
